Safety measures to prevent the spread of Covid-19
At Hotel Grand Palace, we have implemented the following heightened safety and hygiene in an effort to prevent the spread of Covid-19 while ensuring optimum comfort:
Public Areas
- Frequent cleaning and sanitization to maintain optimum hygiene levels.
- Placement of hand sanitizers at the entrance, bathrooms, and other areas.
- Limitation of the number of guests per elevator ride to allow safe physical distancing.
- Limitation of the number of guests in each smoking room.
- Placement of paper towels in all bathrooms and suspending the use of hand dryers.
Guest rooms
Checking in and out
- Temperature checks and completion of letter of request for staying upon check-in.
- Installation of plexiglass partitions at the front desk, concierge desk and the bell desk.
- Frequent sanitization of guest room card keys, equipment such as pens and trays on the counter, sofas, elevator buttons and other places where many guests may touch frequently.
- Use of trays when handling cash.
During your stay
- Frequent sanitization of bathrooms inside each guest room, TV remote controllers, door knobs, buttons and switches, telephones and tables.
- Room services will be delivered and handed at the door to avoid hotel staffs from entering guest rooms.
After check-out
- Sanitization of each guest room after stays.
- Hand washing, gargling and disinfection among house-keeping staffs before and after cleaning guest rooms.
Restaurants
- Limitation of seating to allow safe physical distancing.
- Frequent sanitization of tables, handrails, door knobs and other areas.
- Temperature checks and hand sanitization upon arrival.
- Buffet is served at lunch time only.
- Sanitization or replacement of menus after each handling.
- Salt, pepper and sugar will be delivered to your seat upon request.
- Installation of plexiglass partitions on cashier counters.
- Use of trays when handling cash.
Banquets
- Limitation of seating in the banquet halls and meeting salons to allow safe physical distancing.
- Windows will be open in meeting salons for better ventilation.
- Wear of masks will be required for meetings.
- Installation of plexiglass partitions at cloak rooms and meeting salons.
- Temperature checks and hand sanitization at each function room prior to initial entry.
- Sanitization of tables, seats, microphones and other equipment.
Hotel Staff
- Mandatory health checks upon arrival on-property.
- ・Hotel staff will refrain from coming into work when their temperature is above 37.5℃ or they are feeling unwell in any way.
- ・Temperature checks with contactless thermometers will be put in practice for hotel staffs coming into work.
- ・Frequent washing and sanitizing of hands.
- Sanitization of hands and fingers among hotel staff after serving each guest.
- Wearing of masks as well as gloves when appropriate.
